Ceramic Hand Building Workshop

Wednesday Evenings Workshop: Jan. 21, 28, Feb. 4, 11, 18, & 25 6:30p.m. to 8:30 P.M.

Ages: Students 14 and up (Adults and Teens)

Price: $295 for the 6 week workshop (this includes a 22.5LB bag of clay, glazes, supplies and firing.)

Students will be introduced to building ceramic forms by hand. The focus is on pinch pot, coil building, slab / tile work and other sculptural techniques in building forms, adding texture, colorants, glazing and firing. We will have options to build functional to fanciful pieces. Those who have thrown on the wheel may be very surprised on how these techniques improve on your throwing on the potters wheel skills. This class is also a great introduction to clay and will be adapted to serve both novices to moderatly advance students. Each class will build upon the next and is a great way to stay warm and creative in this cold winter.
